Lord Howe Ocean Conservation and UW Photo Expedition
Jan 23rd - Jan 30th, 2027
Lord Howe island is a volcanic island group which formed from a volcano nearly seven million years ago. It is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique ecosystem. Because of its location between two convergent currents, the marine life here is a mixture of both tropical and temperate species, making it a biodiversity hotspot.
Down below, the rocks were teeming with life, from schools of fish to rays and octopus, nudibranchs, painted lobsters and hundreds of Galapagos sharks surrounding us on our safety stop out in the blue!
